“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”
– Ecclesiastes 3:1
So I decided to make this blog a bit more interesting and write on a daily, about different things. Although I am already do that, not every blog will be as long and on difficult topics to swallow. So that being said WELCOME TO SOUL FOOD SATURDAY!
Soul food Saturday’s will focus on the little things that us humans forget. Things that if we could remember it at the approiate time, we will be much more happier people. First thing that could change our mindset and reaction to life is; there is a time for everything. If you don’t get what you want today or tomorrow; its ok there will be a time that you will. Also if what you want you never get then that’s God telling you that you aimed to low. So trust me when I tell you that its a good thing you never got what you really wanted.
I will never understand why us humans enjoy overpacking our schedules. We enjoy stress even though we complaint how much we hate it. We enjoy competition yet hate the pressure. We enjoy making lists and forgetting that we only have 24 hours in a day. We love to forget that we are only one person! Its amazing to have big dreams and go after them full force. It is not normal to lose yourself in the process and kill yourself while making your big thoughts come to life. There is a time for everything and everything that God wants us to have, we will have.
There is a time to think, a time to act, and a time to REST! Do as much as you can today and what you don’t get done, tomorrow will be another day. Enjoy your process and learn from what each day brings. Enjoy the time you have making things happen. Remember that the strength you had today, the Lord will provide it for you tomorrow. Remember that you are only one person and having support is not always a bad thing. Learn to share and allow people to help you accomplish your goals. For there is no joy in doing everything alone, but there is when you can have someone throughout your journeys.
So slow down and take one step at a time. Remember what is yours will always be yours. Its not about the speed you work in, or how much you have accomplished. It’s about involving God in all your plans and seeing what He will make out of your thoughts for you. Its about having fun while getting to where you want to be. It’s about keeping that passion you had when it first came to your mind and heart. Keeping that happiest that you had in the beginning before it became a thing you were going to work toward. One step at a time will give you the chance to grow gratitude for it before you own it. For when you own it you won’t let it go because you have it. Yet you will hold closer to all your accomplishments because you know what it took you to get there. You will know for who and why you did it.
PRAYER: REPEAT IF NEEDED.
Thank you for everything. Thank you for seasons and for reasons. Thank you for purpose. Thank you for what you have labeled that is mines, and thank you for the things that aren’t mines. Thank you for time and thank you for your time. Thank you for process and for molding me. Thank you for teaching me on what I have yet to learn. Thank you for allowing me to dream and helping me accomplish my dreams. I know and understand that as long as I have you as the center of it all, all things will work out for my good. As long it’s your will, everything under the sun will be given to me in its appropriate season. AMEN!
