Monday’s Milestone

“Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.” ~ Proverbs 28:26

Yes it’s Monday and yes we need to be prepared for the week. However lets break the habit of preparing our week wrong. How are we preparing wrong? Let’s start with the obvious; these so called list. The list that you need to make sure you check off on a daily. The list you need to check off everything by the end of the week. The list you need to check off everything by the end of the month. Finally the long yearly list, that pretty much sums if you had an unproductive year or not.

Let’s throw away all those list! Let’s stop comparing ourselves with other people! Let’s stop trying to impress! Let’s stop killing ourselves to please others! Let’s stop trying so hard to live and begin living!

The one thing you should write down and place in an area that you will need to look at everyday is, “Find the joy in the right now. What’s yours is waiting patiently for you to be ready to receive it.”

From the most profound area in you, what is one thing or something you truly desire. Write that down. Now tuck it away where you won’t be able to see it everyday. The first step after writing your petition, let your petition be known to God. Directly share with the Lord this desire and the why behind it. Yes God knows and sees everything, but God doesn’t want to be a noisy God, He wants you to want to share with Him.

Prayer is key. Prayer is key. Prayer is key. Prayer is key. Prayer is key. Prayer is key. Prayer is key. Prayer is key! Now believing what you pray you will receive is a must! Believing what you pray, you will receive, is a must! Believing what you pray, you will receive, is a must! Believing what you pray, you will receive, is a must! Believing what you pray, you will receive, is a must!

These two elements are what measures how great your faith is!

Walk in the Lord’s wisdom and not in your own. Your ways will get you exhausted before you even start your day, your week, your month, your year, and your life. Your ways will leave you paralyzed before you can even start walking. Going in blind to anything is normally scary, but not when the Lord is your compass. When the Lord guidances you, He will prepare you during every step you take. You might feel lost, but you won’t get lost. What you believe you are losing, is the old you you needed to leave behind to move forward.

Our own wisdom will fool us every chance it gets. God’s wisdom will mode us, protect us, guide us, break us, heal us, and it will get us to walk into our deepest desires. God’s wisdom will allow us to walk in obedience even when it’s hard or confusing. Our walk in obedience determines when we will receive our petition. I’m not saying it’s going to come quick just because we are obedient. I’m saying that we are taking a step forward when we are walking in obedience. When petitions get answered quick, is because we are ready to receive what we have asked. When they don’t, is because we are not ready for what that door might expose.

Find the joy in the right now. Know that what is yours is patiently waiting for you to be ready to receive it. Don’t overthink, overdo, over stress how to get there. God will take you where you need to go, when you need to go!

Enjoy the milestone of you letting God be God, and taking full control of your life.
