Wednesday Worship 12/20/17

“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” ~ Daniel 3:17-18

But even if he does not, God is still good!! How many can testify how great God is and how great He remains during all of our messes??? How many can worship Him through all their problems? How many are living a life of gratitude toward the Lord. Is that you? Do you want that to be you? Worship. Worship. Worship. God has been good, He has been faithful, and His grace has been what’s keeping us sane during theses crazy times. The Lord reminds us in 2 Timothy 3:12-13, “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” Things are going from bad to worse! Many linger on waiting for things to turn out better but the Lord remains us that it won’t. What makes situations better is our worship.

Let’s look into the book of Psalm 27:4-5 where King David speaks to the Lord his true desires. “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.” It’s no secret that Kind David was the man after God’s own heart, and this is the why and how. King David made God’s heart his place of shelter. He made sure that if he had to dwell in any place it had to be God’s heart. His worship wasn’t a simple worship that most generations offer to the Lord today. His worship was a life or death situation. His soul depended on worshipping the Lord. Yes he was nowhere near perfect and failed in a lot of areas. However that never stopped him from truly seeking the Lord. He needed to worship because that’s what he was born to do. Let’s make the presence of God our dwelling place. Let’s make it a habit to need to worship or else all things will go bad. Let’s depend on worshipping the Lord as if our life depended on it. Let’s be the shepherd boy that was crown king, until will could take full ownership of our own crown!

On a fun note, what is everyone hearing today? What’s a song that has been speaking to your life? Let’s share ! This week the song that has been speaking to my heart is called, “Give me faith” by Elevation Worship! I️ pray that this song could bring you back to the basics of what this journey is all about. May we remember to walk by faith and not by sight. Our sight sees way too many things that could discourage us in this walk, but our faith brings an unlimited amount of hope to hold on to. I️ hope you all enjoy the lyrics!

Blessings!

“I need You

To soften my heart and break me apart

I need You

To open my eyes, to see that You’re shaping my life

All I am, I surrender

Give me faith to trust what You say,

That You’re good and Your love is great

I’m broken inside, I give You my life

I need You

To soften my heart and break me apart

I need You

To pierce through the dark and cleanse every part of me

All I am, I surrender

Give me faith to trust what You say,

That You’re good and Your love is great

I’m broken inside, I give You my life

And I may be weak but Your Spirit’s strong in me

My flesh may fail, but my God, You never will

[x2]

Give me faith to trust what You say,

That You’re good and Your love is great

I’m broken inside, I give You my life

[x2]

And I may be weak but Your Spirit’s strong in me

My flesh may fail, but my God, You never will

[x2]”
