Wednesday Worship 12/27/17

Who are you trying to glorify ?

“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” ~ Psalm 139:1-16 NIV

Wouldn’t it be easier to please the one who sees everything, and not the one who can’t see everything ? Doesn’t that sound less stressful ?! That’s the way it should be! Your life should glorify the one who is in charge of judging it! Some advice, or feedback shouldn’t change your focus away from the one your trying to reach. Which brings us back to asking the Lord for discernment! Ask the Lord for discernment! Having discernment helps eliminate a lot of distractions. There is always going to be distractions during this walk, and yes many of them can be within your own congregation/ ministry/ friends/ family. Knowing the difference of what to take serious or bush off is very important! So begin to please the one who sees EVERYTHING, at every second of your life!

Below is another favorite of mines! The song is called “You Know Me” by Bethel Worship. I hope you all are blessed by theses lyrics !

“You Know Me”

“You have been and You will be

You have seen and You will see

You know when I rise and when I fall

When I come or go You see it all

You hung the stars and you move the sea

And still You know me

Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh

oh oh oh You know me [repeat]

Nothing is hidden from Your sight

Wherever I go, You find me

You know every detail of my life

You are God and You don’t miss a thing

You memorize me”

Blessings !
