Soul Food Saturday:Be consistent in your season.

Seasons. Some are good, and some are very very difficult. This is how I see seasons.

Seasons are a reflection of how prepared you were and weren’t. Regardless of how good or difficult the season is, I strongly believe that the Lord allows it because you are strong to overcome it. Some seasons are there for two separate reason. Either your going to grow from it or receive confirmation on the path your taking. Growth and confirmation. You either didn’t know what you encountered, or you always knew but doubted what you knew. Growth and confirmations are what seasons give us. Seasons are not meant to kill our spirit but built it up. Your season is what awakes you to keep burning that fire within for the Lord. To keep holding on when you have nothing to hold on. To keep hoping, loving, praying, seeking, seeing, remembering everything God has shown you in private.

Keeping a fire burning is one of the hardest things to do. Keeping it burning through seasons when the winds just want to blow you away. Keeping it burning when you don’t have all the things to keep lighting it up. It takes strategy and time to start a fire but it takes less than a second to blow it off. However that less than a second, was less than a second you didn’t care about it. If you can let a certain season turn off your fire instead of stirring it; then you had no passion when you first started it up. When you involve passion into everything you do for the Lord, nothing could ever stop you from sticking it out. Yes you will have days where you will question, want to give up, doubt, be confused, cry, upset; you will feel all these things. However none of these emotions will be able to move you where God has called you into.

When God brings you to a land that either you prayed for or didn’t; don’t let no one turn off your fire! This land is just another season you will need to get through for the next one.
-Remember to keep your eye sight on the things above and not on things from the earth (Colossians 3:2).
-The peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
-When emotions overshadow your purpose; remember you walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
-The only way you will ever survive any season you walk in, is by living by faith (Romans 1:17).
-Don’t lose your trust in the Lord ever. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).

So whatever you are going through good or bad, keep going through it. Don’t try to find a short cut, or run from it. You might not see it now or feel it; but your reward is on the end of it. The only way to reach that reward is going through the season. Be constant in your season. You won’t alway be comfortable but you can always be constant. When your uncomfortable, thats God breaking walls down for you. He’s breaking the walls that held you hostage for so long. The walls that never let you pass on to the next side, next level, next promotion; closer to God.

When you could be consistent in your season, you find purpose! A purpose that is impossible for you to let go because He will never let you go in return. Being consistent within your purpose will keep the fire burning for the Lord!
