God is truth! 💚

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” ~ John 8:32 NIV

Have you ever wanted to know the truth so bad that when you hear it, you aren’t truly ready to hear it ?

The truth will set you free! The truth is not always good and it’s not always bad. However the truth is always a step forward! The truth will always free you! Now the free part might be difficult because it’s probably a freedom you didn’t wish for. This does not change though that you are free.

I once thought that the life I was walking in was a great one. It felt like everything I wanted, and looked great from thee inside. I was in the inside of this supposedly life, yet the truth showed me just how out I really was. Little by little I was falling apart and thought this was a great thing! I thought god was breaking me! I thought I was close to a breakthrough I didn’t even know I needed! I was very close to a breakthrough but it was painful! The breakthrough was finding out the truth. The truth of who I really was. The truth of what my life really was. The truth of what I believed was truth but turned out to be a lie. Although it was painful, I was free! Free to see my life for what it really was. Free to work on the real issues. Free to cry out and now know what I’m crying about. FREE TO RUN TO GOD AND BEG HIM TO FIX MY LIFE! I was free!

The bondages of lies might feel good in the moment, but that isn’t life. Living is living boldly in the truth. Lies keeps doors shut until they burst. Truth open doors and leads you to greater truths. Lies cheats you from growth. Truth allows you to grow! God is truth, and lies are from the enemy !

Self Care Sunday…Start your week off with a worship heart. 💚

In seasons of wanting, may we remember that a giving heart is always rewarded. Whatever you are expecting from this week, may you welcome it with a grateful heart.

For a couple of weeks this song has been making me feel a peace, that only the Lord can provide. This song has bought clarity into my not so great days. It has reminded me over and over how much the Lord works for my favor. This song has shed light in many areas of my life, but most importantly in the areas where I have felt alone. Yet in my moments of loneliness the Lord has covered me. The Lord has loved me. The lord has chased me down, leaving me with only open hands to receive him.

I hope this song can be a blessing for you all, as well.

“Reckless Love by Cory Asbury”

“Before I spoke a word, You were singing over me

You have been so, so good to me

Before I took a breath, You breathed Your life in me

You have been so, so kind to me

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God

Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine

I couldn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it, still, You give Yourself away

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah

When I was Your foe, still Your love fought for me

You have been so, so good to me

When I felt no worth, You paid it all for me

You have been so, so kind to me

And oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God

Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine

And I couldn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it, still, You give Yourself away

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah

There’s no shadow You won’t light up

Mountain You won’t climb up

Coming after me

There’s no wall You won’t kick down

Lie You won’t tear down

Coming after me

There’s no shadow You won’t light up

Mountain You won’t climb up

Coming after me

There’s no wall You won’t kick down

Lie You won’t tear down

Coming after me

There’s no shadow You won’t light up

Mountain You won’t climb up

Coming after me

There’s no wall You won’t kick down

Lie You won’t tear down

Coming after me

There’s no shadow You won’t light up

Mountain You won’t climb up

Coming after me

There’s no wall You won’t kick down

Lie You won’t tear down

Coming after me

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God

Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine

And I couldn’t earn it, I don’t deserve it, still, You give Yourself away

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah”

“Are you so foolish…”

“Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?” Galatians 3: 3 (NIV)

How big is your trust in the Lord? Do you find yourself strong in your faith, until you notice that possibly your strength could get it done ? Are you depending on the Holy Spirit or your own fleshly power?

The power that is within you is from the Lord. Whatever power that is within you that is not from the Lord, has an expiration date! Whatever power that is, is rooted in disobedience and is ignoring the power of the Holy Spirit ! When we ignore the Holy Spirit many things occur.

Some examples are:

• Jobs lost

• Relationships fall apart

• Family break apart

• Negative friends

• Spiritual life gets weak

• Ministries become weak if you were in leadership position (this is not an all the time thing)

• Abandoned purpose and walk

Over all when you use your own strength, eventually our own strength won’t be enough. When it runs out, how it affects you will determine how it could affect those around you !

“So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” ~ Zechariah 4:6

God bless !

Self care Sunday!

Self care Sunday, and into the week ahead!

Preparation is key! I will never get tired of saying those three words! I have said it many times in my prior blogs but a friendly reminder does no harm.

Today is a day where many will be getting ready for the week. For many today might look like; service in the morning and straight into lazy day. For others it might be a laundry, clean the house, food shopping, homework assignments, studying type of day. All those schedules are great to have but it’s also important to make time to spiritually prepare yourself for another week of blessings. Whether it ends up being a easy, or hard week! Every week we pass is another week by the grace of God, we have overcome! It’s important to present ourselves to God and let him know our goal for this week and expectations. It’s important to lay out our desires and ask God that if it’s his will, make this week all that we can imagine.

It’s also important that we get mentally prepared for every start of the week. Prayer is very much needed. However faith and endurance is a most. We must learn to endure whatever is ahead with the same grace that the Lord has given us. We must understand that prayer does not substitute actions we must still take. Prayer delivers the communication between God and us, and allows God to be invited personally into our life on a daily bases. Prayer is a heads up of what we are about to endure and take a leap of faith in. God wants prayer to be affective and not to create a lazy spirit. Prayer is actively declaring your next step. Is not for pausing your walk and resting too deep in the Lord that you fall asleep in your purpose!

Bible verse for the week !

“Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.” ~ Ezekiel 38:7-9

You must prepare for the land your about to step into. That land could be preparation for a blessing or for future endurance. That land will have all types of people. People who are for you and against you. Your preparation will built your endurance. The endurance you will need to finish strong and grab your promises!

Blessing !

Abide (AAA – Accept, Act, in Accordance)

Abide in my words.

Abide in my wisdom.

Abide in my purpose.

Abide constantly in obedience.

Abide to me as I to you.

Abide whole heartedly even in your weakness.

Abide to survive offenses for more often than not you will be persecuted.

Accept your calling.

Accept your authority.

Accept correction in time of worry.

Accept the training from your testimony.

Accept the confidence and walk boldly.

Accept, act and walk in accordance.

Any step toward abiding, is one step toward progress.

This list can go on forever, but it’s evident that this topic is important. The Lord was very clear that we must abide in him to walk this walk. We must have an oneness with him at all times. We cannot do anything without him! We are lifeless without him! But we are very much alive when we are walking with him! To abide is to accept! To accept is to act! And to act is to walk in accordance! Abide, accept, act, and accordance. It’s impossible to limit any of these words if we want to walk this walk right.

One of the Lord’s biggest desire for us, is to be with us. There is so much power that comes from abiding. There’s no secret that two are better than one. There’s no secret that the power comes from abiding in obedience toward God. There’s no secret that when we walk in obedience the father’s love is seen more clearly. Take the dust off your eyes and abide in the Lord. Don’t get side tracked with what you want to see but don’t. How you abide, accept, and act according to your purpose; is what helps you see spiritually what’s really in front of you.

Below are some bible verses;

•“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” ~Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

•“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” ~John 15:4-11

•“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” ~1 John 4:16

PRAYER:

“Lord I thank you for reaching for me in the moment you found me. I thank you for all your promises of you truly loving me and wanting me. In my moments of weakness and in my moments of strength, help me abide in your word. Help me accept whatever it is for I could move forward, in this walk. I want to be one accord with you. I know I can’t do this alone and understand that you didn’t want me to embark it alone. I understand that you are the light, lighting my every step. I understand that I have you to lean on always. I understand that I need you in this walk. Thank you for rescuing me over and over again. Amen.”

God bless you brothers and sisters,

True forgiveness doesn’t keep score!

In my last post, I blogged about how over praying is better than under praying. Now some of you might be asking, “I forgive all the time and still no changes”. The way we present ourselves to the Lord is key! We are not speaking about being overly dressing but being spiritually repented from anything we believe we handled incorrectly. The Lord knew that we were going to face hardship. He also knew that loving and forgiving was possible. He also knew that our worldly thoughts wouldn’t be able to process how, which is why He encourages us to give him our burdens. That person you declare you couldn’t love, bring that worry to God. By the time you know it God would have prove to you how wrong that thought was. The love is able to come once you forgive them whole heartedly and forgive yourself whole heartedly.

Imagine you mentally keeping score of everything someone has done bad to you. Now imagine you walking around and all you see are score cards, instead of faces ? The score cards are the number of times you have personally done something wrong. Do you think you will be able to live that way ?

There’s many reasons why forgiveness is hard to do. I saw a quote in a devotional I have read, that summed one of the big factors! A big one is “when you are a selfish person”. If all you can see is what they did and not your side to the story; rethink again. Whether it’s a direct or indirect act; we all affect another. It could be a good or bad affect! “Selfish people become servants. Self-centered children grow up to become workers in God’s kingdom. Strangers become intimate friends. Daily life is filled with the drama of kingdom building. There are plenty of mistakes, lots of repenting, times of frustration, sickness, and even doubts. But in the end, God’s presence prevails, people are transformed, kingdom work is accomplished, and trials are overcome.”

There was a moment in my prayer life where I saw God move mountains! Mountains I didn’t even know I had! The moment I began coming to God just how I was and acknowledging my behaviors, emotions, acts, and intentions; miracles happened! In that moment everything switched! It switched because I began confronting myself instead of telling God how someone faulted me. By the time I understood what my lips soon said, the declaration was already made. “God look at me. I’m a mess. A mess that I can’t even deal with but I know you can. This can’t be life? This can’t be who I was meant to be? I don’t understand why certain situations get the very best of me. Lord look at me. Change me, fix me, break me! Do as you please, whatever you need to do. I just want to one day speak about this and feel nothing but love. Change me for I can see with your eyes and not mines.”

“Change me….”

This prayer changed my life. When I was able to acknowledge my faults and ask God to change me. A whole prayer of ways he can fix me, instead of fix that person for they can love me.

True forgiveness does not keep a score but instead live in a every moment repentance. Where they cover all sides of the situation. Where they ask God to forgive all those involve, regardless who’s fault it really was.

God bless you brothers and sisters,
