“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” ~ Romans 8:18
God bless brothers and sisters! It’s been a while but who’s counting! This time away has been a blessing in disguise. For if we have Christ and try to live a Christ center life, anything under the sun would not be in vain ( “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” ~ 1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV). Don’t know where to begin for God is finishing where he has me and beginning something new ! hallelujah !!
Side note, I want to share something God has placed in my heart! I have shared in a couple of previous blogs the power of prayer and the power of consist prayer! Now God has showed me a different perspective to it! God was not lying when he made prayer the essential piece to inheriting everything. Prayer is a huge umbrella with so many essential pieces to it. The more mature you get in the walk the more he shows you a different side to praying.
Question: How do you pray ? (There is no wrong way to praying by the way. As long as you are being sincere and seeking the Lord, He will be pleased.)
For the past week the Lord has been showing me that prayer is necessary in this walk. However there is certain topics that when we pray we need to speak prayers of declaration! The best way to declare through prayer, is with scripture. The enemy could try to go against us when we speak with no belief. However if we declare through prayer the words of the Lord, the enemy has no access.
My Pastors are very big on learning verses and it wasn’t until recently that I understood. It’s not to show off how much verses you know when you are having a conversation or preaching a sermon. It’s to fight back the enemy when he tries to distract us in our faith. For example: “ Stop messing with me enemy. “ Now with scripture. “Enough is enough. For no weapon form against me will prosper. My El Shaddai is my almighty God, He will take care of me always. What I ask in prayer I will receive.”
Did you feel the differences when you just read that out loud ?
Prayer with scriptures give the enemy no chance at all!
