The Beauty Within Worship

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”~ Deuteronomy 6:5

I love to worship the Lord. Not because I was taught to. Not because I want something. I praise Him for who He was, is and will continue to be. I praise Him to encounter a deeper understanding of who He is. I praise Him to have a deeper understanding of who He has called me to be.

To worship the Lord, is to allow yourself to enter into another dimension. A dimension where only God and you can be. A dimension that only you can enter when you truly give your whole heart, soul, and strength to Him. A worship that will elevate the Lord’s heart when He sees and hears you. A worship that leaves you no other option, but to leave changed. If your worship to the Lord isn’t changing you, evaluate how your worshipping.

This week so far I had one song on repeat. It’s a worship song that I have found very difficult to sing. The words speak in such depth who the Lord is, that I can’t help but to get choked up. Even in worshiping through dance, has been difficult. It’s a song that causes you to just be in awe of His greatness. A song that allows you to just stare into the Lord’s heart and hear how it beats for you and all His children. The song is called So Will I (100 billion x) by Amanda Cook. This song has many covers, this is just my preference. The song is originally from Hillsongs United. Below I will leave you the lyrics. I pray that you will enjoy this moment of worship. I pray that you will be able to declare out loud every word this song saids. I hope you can declare the greatness of the Lord with no shame but with the upmost gratitude. His love is beyond comprehension. We can never fathom all things He has done from beginning to end. However we can find a new reason everyday to love and seek Him, with every breath of our being.

“So Will I (100 Billion X)”

God of creation

There at the start, before the beginning of time

With no point of reference

You spoke to the dark and fleshed out the wonder of light

And as You speak

A hundred billion galaxies are born

In the vapour of Your breath the planets form

If the stars were made to worship, so will I

I can see Your heart in everything You’ve made

Every burning star, a signal fire of grace

If creation sings Your praises, so will I

God of Your promise

You don’t speak in vain, no syllable empty or void

For once You have spoken

All nature and science, follow the sound of Your voice

And as You speak

A hundred billion creatures catch Your breath

Evolving in pursuit of what You said

If it all reveals Your nature, so will I

I can see Your heart in everything You say

Every painted sky, a canvas of Your grace

If creation still obeys You, so will I

So will I, so will I

If the stars were made to worship, so will I

If the mountains bow in reverence, so will I

If the oceans roar Your greatness, so will I

For if everything exists to lift You high, so will I

And if the wind goes where You send it, so will I

If the rocks cry out in silence, so will I

If the sum of all our praises still falls shy

Then we’ll sing again a hundred billion times!

God of salvation

You chased down my heart through all of my failure and pride

On a hill You created

The light of the world abandoned in darkness to die

And as You speak

A hundred billion failures disappear

Where You lost Your life so I could find it here

If You left the grave behind You, so will I

I can see Your heart in everything You’ve done

Every part designed in a work of art called love

If You gladly chose surrender, so will I

I can see in Your heart, eight billion different ways

Every precious one, a child You died to save

If You gave Your life to love them, so will I

Like You would again a hundred billion times

But what measure could amount to Your desire?

You’re the One who never leaves the one behind
